PALLET NETWORK

Pallet networks are co-operative organisations made up of groups of professional hauliers working together as Members, Shareholders or Licensees, providing cost-effective, nationwide, next day freight delivery services.

Each transport company collects consignments from within their own region and transports these to a hub, where consignments from all over the UK are consolidated into destination bays and despatched out via the delivering member to their destination region. From there they are loaded on smaller vehicles and delivered to the end customer – usually within 24 hours.

PALLEX

The Pall-Ex Distribution Network is a recognised leader in palletised freight distribution. They are an award-winning network of independent hauliers comprising over 100 shareholder members and four subsidiary depots. Pall-Ex is a renowned name in palletised freight distribution and logistics, delivering an efficient and reliable service, backed by innovative technology and a first-class network of established shareholder SMEs.

Marcus (Bradford) Ltd joined the Pall-Ex network in November 2020 and so far this year we have inpuT OVER 8500 pallets. We run two double decks each day, one to the central UK hub located in the Midlands, and one to the Northern Hub in Rochdale, Lancashire. Using Pall-Ex means we benefit from complete coverage of the continent and full track and trace visibility for all consignments. Their software allows us to book, review and track pallets with ease, helping us to continually improve our customer experience.

FORTEC

The Fortec Distribution Network, based in Northampton, is A wholly-owned subsidiary of Pall-Ex Group, it forms part of the largest overall collection of transport companies in the country. Fortec distributes thousands of consignments every day, specialising in time-critical deliveries via its strategically located network of more than 70 members, all transport professionals in their own right. Marcus (Bradford) Ltd in September 2006 became members of The Fortec Pallet Network and in 2020 became a shareholder. This partnership allows us to offer our clients a guaranteed next day /overnight service for deliveries throughout the UK Mainland. The guaranteed next day service has proved to be extremely popular with our clients and we now employ an enthusiastic team of dedicated staff to oversee this operation. All goods for next day delivery are collected on a daily basis and trunked down to the hub, located in Rugby. Goods for delivery to Europe are also collected on a daily basis, trunked down to the hub and delivered throughout the European Mainland within 3-5 days depending on the destination.
